Global military spending is set to rise again in 2015. They have increased after four years of decline, according to a report published Tuesday by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (Sipri ).

These expenditures amounted to 1.676 billion dollars, an increase of 1% over one year. The United States, China and Saudi Arabia spent the most, with France representing the seventh budget. Researcher Corentin Brustlein , head of Ifri's Centre for Security Studies and the "Deterrence and Proliferation" programme, looks back at this report for 20 Minutes.. .
